DCK secured this contract via the London Borough of Haringey’s procurement framework. The programme forms part of the council’s ongoing investment strategy to modernise its housing stock and improve safety, compliance, and living standards across its residential portfolio.

The works involve full strip-out and replacement of kitchens and bathrooms within 1-bedroom properties. Kitchen renewals include removal of existing units and fittings, installation of new base and wall units with worktops, tiling between worktops and wall units, flooring replacement, associated plumbing and electrical works, and full redecoration.

Bathroom renewals include removal of existing sanitary ware and installation of new WC, basin, bath, pipework and fittings, slip-resistant vinyl flooring, full or partial wall tiling, waterproof sealing, ceiling and wall plaster repairs, and complete redecoration.

Mechanical and electrical works include radiator replacements, upgrades to earthing and bonding in accordance with current IEE Wiring Regulations, new or upgraded socket outlets, smoke and heat detector replacements, gas testing and certification, and full electrical testing with NICEIC certification.

Additional works include fire door assessments and replacement where required, fire stopping and compartmentation works, damp and mould treatment, asbestos R&D surveys prior to commencement, and associated remedial works.

All works are delivered by DCK’s directly employed workforce and approved subcontractors, ensuring compliance with current Building Regulations, Gas Safety Regulations, Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, and council specifications.

The programme significantly improves safety, energy efficiency, and overall property condition while delivering long-term value to the London Borough of Haringey’s housing stock.
